When I set the appointment they had told me it was going to be around $400.00 because I don't have insurance so after talking with my doctor she decides that she wants to give me an ultrasound because I'm so stressed about a miscarriage but.. she decided to do it off the books so I didn't have to fork over $200 just for that. I think that was a very thoughtful gesture.
I love this doctor's office because there isn't a speck of white anywhere there are colors everywhere, comfortable couches beautiful artwork which is inspired by old French decor. It's very comforting to be there and in good hands. They also make the Daddies feel welcomed too! The doctor included Ryan in all of the discussions and asked him questions about what he wants which made him feel comfortable as well.
So we go in for out ultrasound and the room was really set up thoughtfully, to my right was the tech and the machine to my left was a couch where Ryan & Maliah were sitting and on the wall in front of me, there was a big plasma screen where I could see the actual ultrasound & what was going on with it!! I got to see everything instead of breaking my neck to try and see my little bean =) So, we got to see and and hear our little one's heart beating and it was adorable of course, I cried I was so excited!! The heartbeat came up to 167!!! I was so relieved I realized right then I could not keep this a secret any longer so I've told all of my Family & Friends : )My Dad was very happy and he has a great reason to be, our little one is due right around his birthday! Our due date actually started out on his exact day, but then after ultrasounds moved back a little bit but now.. is actually moving back towards it so we'll see what actually ends up happening. Ahh.. I feel SO HAPPY!!
