Hospitals have always scared me, but because my insurance for my new position doesn't start until April 1st I can't see my doctor so I decided to visit the ER just to make sure that everything is ok. I was also experiencing pain in the left side of my chest. My mind has been up & down like crazy lately!! One minute I'm happy the next I'm stuck wondering about a miscarriage so I decided to just check in for sanity reasons.
I stopped in to Banner Desert Hospital, these hospitals are really nice, all new equipment comfortable rooms, the works! However~ they take for.ever. I was there for 7 hours! I couldn't believe how long it took for them to run a few simple tests & an ultrasound.
Basically the doctor told us that I could possibly have a blood clot in my chest and because of the pregnancy I am at higher risk for those kinds of things but the doctor said that most of the time they go away on their own and that it was my decision to do a CT Scan due to all of the radiation, which could affect my lil peanut. I decided to opt out.
My ultrasound gave me red flag because the ultrasound technician said that the gestational sac was measuring about 5 weeks however, my HCG levels were at 17,000 and looked really good he said he wasn't concerned because dates based on LMP are always just a guess. So it turns out we conceived out little one on Valentine's day while in Vegas =)
